It was ok, a nice romance but a lot of things happened that left me with REALLY? Seb walked away from her 13 years ago and she was devastated, jumped into a rebound marriage and damaged even further. Now his mother semi forces them back together and Amanda just lets it happen. They meet up at a fancy party and end up in the bathroom, fall into a D/s scene and again she just falls over backward for him. two days later they are back to being hot and heavy. hummm for someone who was hurt and damaged so bad, she so easily slips back into a relationship with him. Sorry don't buy it. The story line would have been much more believable had Seb had to work a bit harder for her forgiveness...Product details

But I just can't give this book the review I was hoping for.. and I hate giving bad reviews...so I'm think I'm just going to go with "it was okay". The book cover and name are awesome, but deceiving. I really thought it was gone by to be more of a ex military Dom. Who would do anything to save the woman he loves with lots of hot steamy sex in-between. Not so much. Characters r okay nothing special about either one of them. Saying someone is a Dom doesn't mean they r. These characters fell flat for me and through the whole book Web wasn't being portrayed as to have a Dom personality. Really not much of a story line. There aren't any bullets,or hardcore man or sassy girl. This just really fell short for me. And unfortunately I will not be buying anymore of the books in this series. That's not to say I won't try out her new series

It has been 13 years since Mandy and Seb had seen each other and the way this two parted were hearts broken. Back then they were 20 and 25 year old and neither one were ready to be married. Fast forward to the present and now they are two mature adults that even after so many years apart they still care for each other.
Seb knew that once he laid eyes on Mandy, the battle was over. He had tried to get over her for 13 years, and not even going to war twice did he had accomplished that. So when his mom arranged the meeting he knew it would open the old wound.
Could Seb and Mandy rekindle their romance now that they both were in different places in their lives? Or will they get the closure they both deserved in order to move on?

I found this book nicely written and the story was amazing. I recommend this book and can't wait to read the rest of the series.

So far this has been a fine read. I would recommend this for either right- before- bed, or on the beach, a quiet afternoon, etc. There are quite a few dynamic features to the story line. A few twists and tunes, and the characters are pretty well developed. There are a few parts that could be edited slightly better, but I do know most authors on here prefer for their readers to help them out in this aspect.
It was not hard reading by any means, but it was also not an elementary level book. Be prepared for some love scenes. But honestly, sometimes they do add to the storyline, right?
I hope to either purchase more in this series (if there is one) or get the author motivated to write more! Not that this was left with just a cliffhanger or anything, I have just loved how the storyline was developed, and would love to know where this could head into the future. Knowing how the characters have developed, interacted, and have grown leaves me with a lot of hope for more. I always love series/ books where there is a spin- off into a similar setting, but with acquaintances that the characters had, or will have.
Overall, this is a great value and I would highly recommend it. It is a great value for the price, and it simply cannot be beat! I will be purchasing more from this author in the future, and look forward to new releases.

Not sure about this one. I really don't get the title either.
This is Seb and Amanda's second chance. I'm not really sure why they broke up the first time. Was he trying to be her Dom and she didn't want that kind of relationship? Or did she want to be submissive but resented him being dominate? Or, we're they both too young to get married?
They got back together pretty quickly. But I have to question how good of a lawyer could Seb be if he was representing Amanda's interests and didn't read her paperwork closely enough to know about the owner.
And, what was the deal with Darby? He was a little too intense, controlling, and seemingly jealous to just be a friend.
Overall, the story moved very quickly giving me the sense of rushing through it. I wish it had been longer with more details. I felt like I was missing something. I would rate this 2.5 stars if it was an option.
Forgiveness came awfully quickly in this story. And she submitted before she even got the full story or forgave him. I like the D/s scenes in books but the scene where she got down and kissed the toe of his shoe and put her forehead on the floor was a little too creepy for me. Otherwise good story. Would try another from this author.
